Spatial distributions of 137Cs in surface soil in Jing-Jin-Ji Region, North China

► We have mapped the detailed distribution of 137Cs concentration in surface soil. ► There are no other new inputs of nuclear in the study area. ► The 137Cs concentration spatial distribution patterns are consistent with land use types. ► The 137Cs concentrations are relatively lower than other areas in the middle latitude. ► The results could be used as a reliable baseline data of further nuclear activities.
