Spermatophore and sperm quality of the pink shrimp Farfantepenaeus paulensis fed with fresh food supplemented with pollen and paprika

► There was no significant difference in food consumption among the treatments. ► Males fed with fresh food supplemented with pollen showed higher sperm counts. ► Zero melanization and higher survival were also observed in treatment pollen. ► The use of paprika in the diet does not affect the reproductive quality of males.
