Risk of gastric cancer in association with Helicobacter pylori different virulence factors: A systematic review and meta-analysis

Infection by H. pylori strains with positive vacA s1m1 and the cagA genes can significantly increase the risk of GC. The association between the vacA s1m1 and the cagA and GC, suggests that screening of these genes may be helpful for identifying populations at higher risk for GC.
