Gastric Varices Bleed at Lower Portosystemic Pressure Gradients than Esophageal Varices

GV bleed at lower PSGs than EV. EV, GEV, and IGV bleeding is associated with successively lower PSGs. These findings highlight distinct physiology, anatomy, and behavior of GV compared with EV.
