Trombosis yugular con adenopatías regionales en fertilización asistida. Anatomía patológica ganglionar y revisión de la bibliografía

A presentation of two cases of internal jugular thrombosis following ovarian hyperstimulation for assisted reproduction, diagnosed using ecography. The ecography images showed jugular thrombosis with multiple regional adenopathies. The first case required a histological study (biopsy), because of a cytological suspicion of mesothelial metastases (following fine needle aspiration).The relationship between ovarian hyperstimulation and internal jugular thrombosis is confirmed in the literature, although there is nothing that states a clear association with regional adenopathies. Our first case demonstrates the proliferation of mesothelial cells in these adenopathies, a benign entity defined as atypical mesothelial proliferation, which is managed conservatively.
