Effect of the preparation of supported gold particles on the catalytic activity in CO oxidation reaction

Gold catalysts supported on hydrotalcite, for CO oxidation reaction, were prepared by Direct Anionic Exchange (DAE) or by deposition-precipitation with NaOH or urea. The highest activity was obtained for Au/Mg4Al2 prepared by DAE. The chloride was removed either with warm water or with ammonia. Changes in activity were observed according to the washing procedure.
