États affectifs et formes d'engagement. Analyse et conséquences pour le concept d'engagement organisationnel

This research aims at highlighting the relationships between the dimensions of managers' organizational commitment and their affective states at work. It is based on a questionnaire survey of a sample of 798 French managers. The findings show that affective, normative and continuance commitment are differently correlated with the frequency of positive and negative affective states experienced by the respondents. The paper also proposes some comments on the nature of organisational commitment.
