Étude des relations entre les scores d'intelligence émotionnelle selon l'EQ-i de Bar-On et la satisfaction professionnelle autoévaluée

The study deals with the connections between the scores in the French version of the Bar-On EQ-i (1999) and those obtained with a questionnaire designed to measure the four primary components of professional satisfaction. The questionnaires were administered to a 146-adult mixed sample. The relationships between measurements were analysed based on a model of multiple regressions. The results showed that the EQ-i scores can explicate 36% of the variation in scores on the Organizational context scale, 25% of that on the Interpersonal relations scale, 34% of the Salary-Promotion component, 38% of the Achievement area and 42% of the variance from an over-all index of professional satisfaction. These results provide an early indication of the interest of measurements of emotional intelligence for a public of French language and culture.
