Formation dynamics of the population of the northwestern Pryčornomorja Steppe in the Upper Paleolithic and Mesolithic

The paper summarizes the shifts in population dynamics in the northern coastal zone of the Black Sea for the 10 000 years from the Last Glacial Maximum to the Neolithic advance. Special attention is paid to critiques of some hypothesis about the “Black Sea Flood” in relation to the spread of cattle-breeding and the Grebenyky culture.
