Proteomic analysis of secretion from human transplanted submandibular gland replacing lacrimal gland with severe keratoconjunctivitis sicca

► We proteomically analysis the saliva from transplanted submandibular gland. ► We found that some proteins differentially expressed after transplantation. ► The upregulation of CA VI and SPLUNC 2 was further confirmed by Western blotting. ► The mechanism of protein synthesis and secretion in transplanted gland has changed.
