Effects of diet enriched with restructured meats, containing Himanthalia elongata, on hypercholesterolaemic induction, CYP7A1 expression and antioxidant enzyme activity and expression in growing rats
چکیده انگلیسی
► Himanthalia elongata-enriched restructured pork (HEP) is a potential functional meat. ► The effects of diets containing HEP on cholesterolemia and liver antioxidant biomarkers were tested in growing rats. ► In non-added cholesterol diets, HEP reduced liver oxidation mechanisms. ► In added cholesterol diets, HEP acted as hypocholesterolaemic and induced a new antioxidant enzyme expression balance.
