⺠This study examined the immunomodulating properties of cultured P. linteus (PL) fruiting bodies. ⺠Bioactive polysaccharides of PL (PSCPL) had molecular weight ranging from 22 to 1700 kDa. ⺠At 5 μg/mL, PSCPL blocked MyD88, TRAF-6, VCAM-1 and NF-κB expression in LPS-stimulated cells. ⺠PSCPL also effectively inhibited ROS formation, and TNF-α, IL-1α, IL-1β and IL-4 production. ⺠PSCPL also suppressed the activation and phosphorylation of JNK and p38.
