Physiochemical properties of differently pretreated cellulosic fibers

► Semi-retted and retted flax fibers were scoured and bleached conventionally. ► Fibers showed negative zeta-potential at all pH, indicating acidic fiber surface. ► Order of surface energy decrease is bleached fiber > scoured fiber > raw fiber.
