Preparation, purification and characterization of alginate oligosaccharides degraded by alginate lyase from Pseudomonas sp. HZJ 216

► We obtain all of the unsaturated di- and trisaccharides from algae alginate. ► We report preparation method of the six oligosaccharides for the first time. ► Different reducing ends lead to different properties for these oligosaccharides.
