Adaptive response in frogs chronically exposed to low doses of ionizing radiation in the environment

► Frogs were collected from background and higher tritium level habitats. ► The micronucleus assay was conducted on liver cells obtained from the frogs. ► No detrimental effects were noted in frogs exposed to elevated tritium. ► Adaptive responses were observed in frogs exposed to elevated tritium.
