Global mapping of Titan′s surface using an empirical processing method for the atmospheric and photometric correction of Cassini/VIMS images

► All Titan images acquired by VIMS during the Cassini nominal and equinox mission are processed. ► An empirical approach is used to mitigate the effects of the atmospheric aerosols and to produce global mosaics with reduced seams. ► The surface behaves at first order like a Lambert surface. ► This approach might be useful to investigate surface heterogeneities.
