Bouncing on Titan: Motion of the Huygens probe in the seconds after landing

► Huygens moved for at least 10 s after landing on Titan. ► Our numerical model for this motion has the probe bouncing, sliding, and wobbling. ► Our model puts constraints on the physical properties of Titan's surface. ► We derive the surface friction coefficient, but it is not well constrained. ► The impact of the probe wake on the surface created a short-lived dust cloud.
