Oligomerization of the transmembrane domain of IRE1α in SDS micelles

► The transmembrane domain of IRE1α peptide is alpha-helical in SDS micelles. ► SDS-PAGE and FRET analyses show that the transmembrane domain of IRE1α forms oligomers. ► The IRE1α transmembrane domain alone has properties to oligomerize.
