Coupling to the surface of liposomes alters the immunogenicity of hepatitis C virus-derived peptides and confers sterile immunity

► Fifteen HCV-derived peptides were coupled on the surface of liposomes. ► Liposomal peptides show unique immunogenicity in HLA-A*0201 transgenic mice. ► Three liposomal peptides induce strong anti-viral effector and memory responses. ► Anti-viral activity may me mediated by non-cytolytic mechanisms.
