Les cannabinoïdes de synthèse : épidémiologie, modalités de consommations et effets cliniques

recent epidemiological data suggest that the global prevalence is still low. The patterns of use vary widely. The main motivations for their consumption are the legal status, their easy access and low coast as well as the promise of a “high” similar to or stronger than cannabis. Paradoxically, these “positive” effects seem less intense and/or shorter than those observed with the cannabis, while psychiatric and neurological complications occur much more frequently. The abuse liability of synthetic cannabinoids seems less important than cannabis. These results have to be confirmed by large epidemiological and clinical studies.
