Liquid chromatography/time-of-flight mass spectrometry for the analysis of plant samples: A method for simultaneous screening of common cofactors or nucleotides and application to an engineered plant line

► LC-TOF methods are often impeded by extraction or chromatographic difficulties. ► We describe a new method to analyze 23 nucleotides and cofactors from plants. ► SPE is required for reliable quantification, identification and ionization. ► This method is applied to NAD biosynthesis metabolism in Arabidopsis.
