► Primary and immortalized endothelial cultures were established from mice capillaries. ► Monoclonal cell lines were obtained and compared to primary cultured cells. ► Monoclonal cell lines retained morphological characteristics and functional properties. ► This endothelial cell line can be useful in the field of microvascular research.
