Human STEAP3 maintains tumor growth under hypoferric condition

► STEAP3 expression results in increment of stored intracellular iron. ► Iron deprivation induces expression of STEAP3. ► Colorectal cancer expresses STEAP3 highly and stores iron much. ► STEAP3 expressing tumors preserves growth even in mice being hypoferremia.
