Vaccine induced Hepatitis A and B protection in children at risk for cystic fibrosis associated liver disease

► We examine Hepatitis A & B vaccine responses in cystic fibrosis liver disease (CFALD). ► Hepatitis B vaccines in infancy do not give long term antibody protection in CFALD. ► Poor Hepatitis B booster response is linked to low body mass index in CFALD. ► Physicians should insure Hepatitis A and B vaccine compliance in CFALD. ► Physicians should consider Hepatitis B boosters in CFALD.
