Reduction of HPV infections through vaccination among at-risk urban adolescents

► We examined the impact of HPV vaccination on HPV acquisition in a clinical setting. ► Adolescent women were recruited prospectively and matched to historical controls. ► Sexual risk behavior profiles were similar between the two groups. ► Detection of HPV 6, 11, 16 and 18 was significantly less in the vaccinated group.
