Intanza® 15Â mcg intradermal influenza vaccine elicits cross-reactive antibody responses against heterologous A(H3N2) influenza viruses

► Mismatch between vaccine and circulating strains impairs vaccine immunogenicity. ► Intradermal route (ID) of administration has been shown to enhance immunogenicity. ► Intanza® 15 μg is the first licensed ID inactivated split-virion influenza vaccine. ► We evaluated its ability to elicit antibody response against H3N2 circulating viruses. ► Intanza® 15 μg elicited broader antibody responses than IM vaccine in the elderly.
