Enhancing DNA immunization by targeting ASFV antigens to SLA-II bearing cells

► The APCH1 scFv molecule targets antigens to SLA II bearing cells in vitro. ► The APCH1 molecule works as an excellent immunoadjuvant in pigs in DNA immunization protocols. ► pCMV-APCH1PQ induces non-neutralizing antibodies and SLA II-restricted T-cell responses. ► The immune responses induced by pCMV-APCH1PQ do not protect pigs against ASFV challenge.
