Recombinant herpesvirus of turkeys as a vector-based vaccine against highly pathogenic H7N1 avian influenza and Marek's disease

► Herpesvirus of turkeys vector-based recombinant vaccine against highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) virus. ► Single dose of recombinant vaccine to one-day-old chicks protected chickens challenged with lethal dose of H7N1 HPAI virus. ► The vaccinated birds were also completely protected from very virulent Marek's disease virus.
