X-ray fluorescence mercury determination using cation selective membranes at sub-ppb levels

- New selective thin membranes were developed for mercury analysis with XRF.
- Various experimental parameters were examined.
- Seawater analysis is possible.
- Minimum detection limits equal to 0.07 ng mL−1 (or better) were succeeded.
