Characterization of Hg(II) binding with different length phytochelatins using liquid chromatography and amperometric detection

► A HPLC - amperometric detection method to analyse mixtures of phytochelatins and related peptides with mercury is optimised. ► The free peptides and their complexes can be distinguished, which allows one to follow the evolution of the different Hg(II)-complexes formed.
