Synthesis, characterization and interactions with the oligonucleotide d(5′-CGCGAATTCGCG-3′)2, of bis(terpyridine)ruthenium(II)-peptide conjugates

The non-stereogenic bis(terpyridine)ruthenium(II) complexes conjugated with tryptophan or tryptophan peptides were synthesized by solid phase synthesis methods and characterized. Their interactions with the oligonucleotide d(5′-CGCGAATTCGCG-3′)2 were studied by NMR techniques, as well as the cytotoxic activity of the complex [Ru(trpy)(trpyCO-Gly-TrpCONH2)](PF6)2.46
