Asymmetric total synthesis and antiproliferative activity of goniothalamin oxide isomers

The antiproliferative activities of goniothalamin oxide (1), isogoniothalamin oxide (2) and their corresponding enantiomers (ent-1 and ent-2) were evaluated and ent-2 was found to be the most active against the eight cancer cell lines investigated.
