Synthesis, crystal structure, and characterization of thiophene-3-carboxaldoxime complexes with cobalt(II), nickel(II) and copper(II) halides

► We use thiophene-3-carboxaldoxime as ligand. ► Oxime functional group is never ionized. ► The crystal structures reveal static disorder. ► We synthesize two different complexes starting from CuCl2.
