Experimental investigation of the influence of different leaking gases on the heat transfer in a HVMLI cryogenic tank after SCLIV

► The type of the gas leaking into the insulating jacket has obvious influence on the venting rate of the cryogenic tank and the heat flux into the liquid nitrogen. ► The condensation or sublimation of the leaking gas can greatly change the heat transfer across the insulation jacket. ► The temperature distribution indicates that phase change heat transfer happened in the insulation jacket.
