Impact of anisotropy on polar optical vibration in a wurtzite cylindrical nanowire with ring geometry

► Dispersions of the two branches of the SO phonon modes are obvious when kz or m is small. ► The SO phonon modes reduce to QC modes due to the anisotropic effect of wurtzite crystal. ► The SO+ phonons are much more important for the electron-phonon interaction than SO− ones.
