Red-luminescence analysis of Pr3+ doped fluoride crystals

We report here on the absorption and fluorescence properties of the Pr3+ doped crystals LiYF4, BaY2F8, KY3F10, KYF4 and CaF2 emphasizing on their characteristics in the visible domain for blue-diode pumped laser operation around 605 nm.
