Stability of superconducting cable used for transportation of electrical current from space

Due to properties of ultra low temperature of space there is a possibility of an electric current transmission with the help of a superconductive construction. In the framework of the space elevator concept the theoretical possibility has been examined for superconducting elastic cable transmitting an electrical current from space.
