												چکیده انگلیسی
India's low power GEOSAT communication satellite to be launched in 2008 will be using electrical propulsion system as an experimental payload augmenting the chemical propulsion system. India's low power communication typically can provide 700 W of power in the beginning of life. Hence, a power and mass optimized electrical propulsion system (EPS) is designed to provide inclination and eccentricity control during North South Station keeping operations. The EPS is based on four 350 W rated Hall effect thrusters (HET) designed, developed and qualified as per the required standards of GEOSAT mission. This paper presents the overview of the Electrical Propulsion System and its elements along with the results of the qualification tests and intended flight operations.
