Antlers of Cervus elaphus as biomonitors of 90Sr in the environment

► There was a good correlation between the antlers' 90Sr content and the 90Sr deposited in the soil. ► The content of stable elements (Ca, Mg, Sr, K) in the analyzed antlers were practically constant. ► The concentrations measured decreased in the following order: Ca » Mg > K > Sr » 90Sr >226Ra.
