Fugitives from the Hungaria region: Close encounters and impacts with terrestrial planets

• The majority of the Hungaria escapers become NEAs.
• The Hungaria asteroids form 2.8% of the Mars impactors population.
• Hungaria encounter velocities are larger than for average Earth and Venus crossers.
• All the fugitives become Mars-crossers and at least 91% of them are PCAs in 100 Myr.
• From our original Hungaria sample the maximum release of NEAs is after 60 My.
