Formation of zebra pattern in low-frequency Jovian radio emission

► Striped spectral structures in Jovian bKOM are very similar to solar zebra patterns. ► The double plasma resonance model is able to produce the Jovian zebra patterns. ► The emission should be generated due to plasma mechanism in the Io plasma torus. ► The frequency drifts reflect the dynamics of the source of the energetic electrons. ► Zebra patterns occur only if the electron acceleration site is relatively compact.
