Antioxidant properties of seaweed polyphenol from Turbinaria ornata (Turner) J. Agardh, 1848

The presence of phenolic compounds were detected by TLC and FT-IR analysis, which revealed that the antioxidant activity might be due to the high polyphenol content of T. ornata with respect to their free radical scavenging properties.
