Evaluation of genotoxicity in leukocytes and testis following intra-vasal contraception with RISUG and its reversal by DMSO and NaHCO3 in Wistar albino rats

► RISUG was injected into the vas deferens of male Wistar albino rats and examined for 360 days. ► DMSO and NaHCO3 were used as reversal agents and examined for 90 days post-reversal. ► Both reversal methods (DMSO and NaHCO3) do not provide evidence of genotoxicity. ► Contraception with RISUG is highly unlikely to produce any genotoxicity in leukocytes and testis.
