ZusammenfassungDas Phänomen der Minispots, speziell in den Mikrosystemen, erfordert eine äußerst exakte Punktlokalisation, da diese für den Therapieerfolg entscheidend ist. Hierfür bewährt sich die Very-Point-Technik, die primär für die Schleimhautpunkte der Mundakupunktur entwickelt wurde. Die Detektion erfolgt mit der Nadel selbst, die bei fest abgestützter Hand tangential – sanft wie ein Pinselstrich – über das vermutete Therapieareal geführt wird. Der Patient signalisiert das Treffen des Punktes mimisch und/oder verbal, und dies momentgenau. Auf diese Weise wird er zum Partner und ist aktiv und bewusst in Diagnostik und Therapie einbezogen. Dank der Very-Point-Technik lassen sich segmentale Symmetriepunkte kontralateral zum Schmerzareal wie auch horizontale Punktausbreitungen (Segment-Belts) aufspüren, ebenso wie Störfeld-Hinweispunkte im Narbenbereich.

Very-Point-technique was originally developped in Oral Acupuncture, for spotting and defining the specific oral mucosa points. This technique is performed by gentle dabbing the needle along the suspected point area, the therapist's fingers being firmly supported. Instantly the patient will confirm verbally or mimically both the precise moment and the ’very‚ spot. Thus the patient is involved in the procedure as an active partner. Owing to very-point detection, also symmetrical segmental points contralateral to a pain area can be traced as well as horizontal point propagations (’segmental belts‚), the same as irritated points in scars.
