Der Begriff der Psyche in der chinesischen Medizingeschichte - ein transkultureller Vergleich

The article presents a comparison of the two cultural concepts of ”psyche” in European, and Shén 神, in Chinese history. Literature of different historic periods elucidates the comprehension of mental and psychic phenomena in Chinese Medicine. The notions of Chinese medical literature are predominantly bridging the gap of dualism between body and soul using the superior category of Qì æ°£. Modern presentations of Chinese medicine, however, defraud the historic fact of a demon medicine, which will be discussed in a following seperate article.
