La mammographie numérique: contrôlequalité et cahier des charges

Since September 2006,quality control is mandatory for all mammography units. All installations,screen film or digital, participating or not to the national breast screeningprogram, must be verified every six months by an entity accredited by theAgence Française de Sécurité Sanitaire des Produits deSanté (AFSSAPS). Whereas analog and digital mammography will co-existfor a few years, and at a time when the “Haute Autorité enSanté” (HAS) is ruling on the role of digital mammography in thebreast screening program, radiology centres having or wanting to invest in adigital mammography system must take into account the quality control protocolcriteria and carry out internal audit tests.
