Hipertensión arterial: otro camino hacia el deterioro cognitivo, la demencia y las alteraciones conductuales

Patients presenting brain vascular damage and cognitive impairment are likely to develop dementia syndromes (vascular dementia or Alzheimer dementia). They also tend to have mood changes (depression). The vascular damage in the Alzheimer disease has a negative impact over the prognosis, increasing the disease's progress. Although there exists a coincidence between vascular disease and cognitive impairment, the aim of this trial is to show our experience and to update the knowledge about the topic and to establish a disciplinary standard behavior which may prevent effectively not only to control hypertension and other risk factors but also to detect cognitive impairment.
