La classification de Blauth des hypoplasies du pouce : réflexion et proposition de modification

RésuméS’appuyant sur les indications thérapeutiques dans la prise en charge des pouces hypoplasiques, nous proposons une modification de l’actuelle classification de Blauth en prenant le parti de se baser sur la conduite à tenir face à cette anomalie congénitale, et non plus uniquement sur la description des caractéristiques morphologiques de la malformation. Plus facilement mémorisable, elle nous semble donc, également plus facilement utilisable en pratique.

SummaryUsing the conclusions of the previous article concerning the therapeutic indications for handling hypoplastic thumb, we suggest an amendment to the current Blauth classification. This alteration is based on the management of this congenital anomaly, whereas the Blauth classification describes the morphological characteristics of the malformation. It appears for us more usable in practice by its easiness to be memorized.
