Intérêt du Versajet® dans le traitement chirurgical du rhinophyma. À propos d’un cas

RésuméLe rhinophyma est une hypertrophie du nez survenant essentiellement chez l’homme à partir de 40 ans, secondaire à une hyperplasie et une fibrose des glandes sébacées. Cette pathologie est particulièrement inesthétique et parfois responsable d’une obstruction nasale. Le traitement de cette pathologie est essentiellement chirurgical et toutes les techniques ont pour but de réaliser une décortication. Les auteurs décrivent un cas de traitement chirurgical de rhinophyma par hydrodissection à l’aide du Versajet®. Après avoir présenté les autres possibilités de prise en charge chirurgicale de cette pathologie, les auteurs comparent les avantages et inconvénients de cette nouvelle technique par rapport à celles décrites dans la littérature internationale.

SummaryRhinophyma is an hypertrophy of the nose occurring primarily in man, as from 40 years, secondary of an hyperplasy and a fibrosis of sebaceous glands. This pathology is particularly unesthetic and sometimes responsible of nasal obstruction. The treatment of this pathology is primarily surgical and the purpose of all techniques is to carry out a decortication. The authors describe one case of surgical treatment of rhinophyma by hydrodissection using Versajet®. After having presented the other possibilities of surgical technics for the treatment of this pathology, the authors compare the advantages and drawbacks of this new technique compared to those described in the international literature.
