Hypnose et neuropsychologie : quelles perspectives cliniques ?

Efficiency of hypnosis has been widely highlighted in the framework of pain therapies. In line with such research, the development of cerebral imagery has improved our understanding of the cognitive processes that underpin hypnosis. More precisely, attention and executive functions can be modulated by: hypnotic induction of a modified state of consciousness; hypnotic suggestions of the hypnotherapist. This paper aims to present studies on normal subjects, in order to discuss using hypnosis for patients with attentional and executive disorders, even in elderly patients with dementia at mild or moderate stage.
